Cattle Call Threads really began with a love maybe even a bit of an obsession, for wild rags and the western way of life.
Since 2009 we have called Ryder Lake our home, lucky enough to keep our horses right in our back yard, tiny acreage into her own little paradise. Life out here shaped the way I see the world early mornings, hard work, and a deep appreciation for western style and tradition.
Over the years, I became a huge fan of wild rags 😉 collecting them, wearing them, and paying attention to the brands doing it well. I admired how so many of these businesses built real community around their craft, and it got me thinking: what would it look like to bring that same spirit to life here at home, with a distinctly Canadian story?
That question grew into a vision: beautiful silk wild rags that could also become a canvas for the work of Western Canadian artists.
Along the way, I've had the chance to meet so many incredibly talented Canadians pursuing dreams of their own. Being able to showcase and support their artwork while they, in turn support my little growing business has become one of the most meaningful parts of Cattle Call Threads.
Today, Cattle Call Threads continues to grow beyond wild rags, but the heart behind it remains the same, a love for western style, Canadian talent, and the people and traditions that make this way of life so special.
The western way of life is something worth keeping alive.
